Life is busy. You have a lot going on and it seems like there's never enough time to work on your goals. You want to get stuff done but you struggle with following through to the end. Today, I'm going to share six reasons why you're not getting as much as you would like done, plus I'll share tips and resources to help you get started.
REASON#1: YOU'RE A PROCRASTINATOR
Procrastination is a beast. You struggle with getting started. You keep telling yourself, "I'll start tomorrow," and then the next thing you know a month has passed and now the year is over. And guess what you still haven't got started. You stayed “busy” but you weren't really producing anything. Procrastination got the best of you and prevented you from reaching your goals.

REASON#2: YOU DON'T KNOW YOUR PURPOSE
It’s hard to make goals and stick to them if you don’t know your purpose in life. You’ve been going through the motions without knowing the real reason why you are here. It's ok. Many people are in the same boat but I don't want you to be like everyone else. I want you to figure out the calling on your life and do the thing that makes you feel alive. And please know that your job, family and friends have nothing to do with your purpose because even if you had none of those things there's still a bigger purpose for your life.

REASON#3: YOU HAVE TOO MANY UNFINISHED PROJECTS
How many projects have you started but have yet to complete? You're always excited to start something new, but when the excitement wears off, you're on to the next great idea. You continue to repeat this cycle over and over again. You’ve started and stopped so many times you’ve lost count.
BeFree Tip: Commit to finishing whatever you start. DO NOT start any new projects before you complete the one you’re working on. Keep track of your ideas in a notebook and revisit them at a later time.
REASON #4: YOU'RE ADDICTED TO SOCIAL MEDIA
Social media is not bad, however, if you’re spending all day reading post after post then that’s a problem. Social media can distract you from working on your goals. You can get so caught up in what other’s are doing that you miss out on living your own life.
BeFree Tip: Unplug from social media at least one hour per day to work on your goals. It takes discipline and focus to log off, but it's worth it.
REASON #5: YOU'RE SURROUNDED BY NAYSAYERS AND PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO GOALS
We've all heard the quote, "you become like the five people you spend the most time with." This quote is so true. If you’re surrounded by people who have no goals and aren’t working towards anything then guess what, you’ll end up just like them. No matter how hard you try their negative energy will affect you and keep you from moving forward.
BeFree Tip: Change your circle. Find a new community of friends online and offline that will encourage you to pursue your goals.
Reason # 6: YOUR GOALS ARE VAGUE AND NOT SPECIFIC ENOUGH
Your goals are unclear and you’re setting yourself up for failure. When you don’t know where you’re going, you end up going no where. Saying, I want to go back to school with no plan in place is a goal you will not reach. In order for you to achieve your goals, they need to be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely.
